Bluebird Kitchen, Winners of Best Cocktail of The Year
The Tiki Throw Down is New York's Official Exotic / Tropical Cocktail Competition. The legendary contest and tasting experience was created by NY Cocktail Expo Founder, Matt Kourie & Best Selling Author of "TIKI MODERN TROPICAL COCKTAILS," Shannon Mustipher in 2018. The iconic "Throw Down" celebrated its debut at the LI Cocktail Fest, Sunday November 12th, 2023; a historic happening as the rich history of Tiki culture is still unfolding here on the island, with only a handful of places offering authentic Tiki concoctions. This year, local bars came together to showcase their take on Tiki cocktails & compete against one another in an effort to explore where it fits into the current drinking trends. It's a captivating journey, especially considering our proximity to NYC, one of the cocktail capitals of the world, which recognizes Tiki cocktails as a distinct universe within the vibrant realm of mixology. Here are the bars that have set the stage for the future of Tiki on Long Island by winning Awards at the LI Cocktail Fest.
