The Best Cocktails on LI

Updated: Mar 29, 2022

Spring is here and with the warmer weather on its way...it's time to know where to get the best drinks!

The LI Cocktail Tour was a self guided tour for cocktail loving foodies, which featured bars across LI competing for Best Cocktail. Attendees of the tour locals and tourists, received a cocktail pass that when presented at official locations, would receive the bars competing cocktail and a spirit tasting when they purchased their meal!

Part of the new Foodie Tour experiences on Long Island, like the LI Wing Hunt chicken wing tour on now. (yes, there's a chicken wing tour on LI. Not "FoolWing")

Check out a shot from the previous LI Cocktail Tour and head out to the bars below!

(Please note: specific cocktails shown may not be available, click links to see their new seasonal drinks!)

The "Quite Frankly" cocktail is a refreshing summer berry cocktail with Frankly Organic Strawberry Vodka. Layers of flavor include berry cordial, Campari and Lillet Rouge!

The "Living Dangerously" cocktail by Joe Mele is made with Charred Pineapple-infused Ilegal Mezcal Oaxacan Coffee-infused Agave, Pressed Coconut Water, Pineapple Juice & Fresh Lime Juice garnished with Oaxaca Coffee dust blended with Demerara Sugar. This cocktail was inspired by recent trips to Oaxaca, Mexico and beachside cocktails in Puerto Escondido. The coffee beans are sourced by Cyrus Chai and Coffee Company from Oaxaca, Mexico. These beans are grown near cocoa fields where the soil imparts powerful flavors and aromas of rich dark chocolate.

“Float like a Butterfly, Sting like a Bee” cocktail! A riff on a bees knees using Tanteo Habanero Tequila split based with mezcal, honey, lemon, honeycomb and just a bar spoon of vanilla almond milk greek yogurt to smooth out that texture and spice.

The "Love Buzz" pairs the beauty and delicate herbal spices of all 47 ingredients in Monkey 47 Gin and expands upon them with summer blueberries paired with botanicals and ginger to give you a refreshing transitional spring to summer cocktail that is certain to delight you.

“With the excellent flavor of Ron Zacapa Rum and inspired by the Hawaiian Flavors of their signature purple yams, Purple Haze is a Tiki cocktail with a good blend of sweet, spice, and bitterness that will send you to the shores of Hawaii with every sip.”

The "Mansion on the Hill" cocktail by Chris Burke featuring Heaven Hill Bonded Rye, Ella’s of Huntington is offering a summer riff on a classic "Old Fashioned.” Peppery rye is mixed with sage, pomegranate, and a splash of Pedro Ximenez Sherry for an herbal and light bourbon cocktail for summer.

The "Strawberry Vanilla Bathtub Gin" cocktail has Ha’ Penny Gin with house-made syrup from fresh Strawberry & Vanilla bean, fresh lemon juice topped with a touch of Prosecco & garnished with Sage.

The "Ectocooler Mojito" cocktail with The Real McCoy Rum, topped with a refreshing soda float and built with house-made mint simple syrup. This summer sipper utilizes both The Real McCoy 3 Year White Rum and 12 Year Dark Rum. The Real McCoy's ability to take rum to levels above and beyond what the average Joe thought possible is a true testament not only to their craftsmanship, vision, and creativity, but also why this spirit is seeing a resurgence among bartenders.

The "Berry Breeze" Cocktail includes Brockman's Gin, St. Germain, Grapefruit Juice, Cranberry Juice and Fresh Lime juice, topped with club soda.

The "Prickly Pear Margarita" with Prickly pear-infused El Jimador Tequila, Combier, & fresh squeezed juices. The perfect cocktail to wash down their amazing eats!

The "Duranzo Chipotle" margarita is made with Tres Agaves Blanco 100% organic tequila. It is sweet, citrusy and spicy and a great compliment to their pit-smoked menu, especially their delicious tacos.
