"Based on the Best Selling Book "TIKI Modern Tropical Cocktails" and Instructed by its Author, Shannon Mustipher. RUM ACADEMY In Person TiKi Work Shop has attracted hundreds of Industry Professionals, rum enthusiasts and the tropically curious since 2019.
Students leave with a profound enlightenment on the spectrum of rum, history of tiki, & get real time feedback on their own tropical cocktail creations from their Instructor in hands on tiki projects! Seeking further knowledge of the spirit category and equipping them to level up their tiki game in the bar and at home, bonded into the future with the spirits they use in class.

The highly engaging lecture & workshop is a one day, two session, fully immersive experience in an intimate appropriate setting for focus.

About The Instructor:
"The Brooklyn based spirits educator opened Glady's Caribbean in 2015, and soon built a following for the category in NYC among trade and consumer. Following the publication of TIKI: Modern Tropical Cocktails (Rizzoli, 2019), Shannon has gone on to consult with a number of brands and to present seminars on the topics of rum, Tiki, and classic cocktails at numerous venues. Shannon's writing, recipes, and opinions have been featured in numorous publications including Imbibe, Punch,com, Vinepair, Saveur, and The New York Times."

A fun and rum loving free spirit who can be spotted reveling in Zombie’s and Piña Coladas alike. She has inhabited every corner of her new paradise giving it a homey yet equatorial touch suited for the enjoyment of anyone who enters. Someone, you can, and should, get to know through the anecdotes and quotes adorning the pages of a beachwood inspired menu.
